Other Software by Script Monkey

Script Monkey can make highly technical software for engineering and other industries.

With decades of construction and engineering industry experience, we can make highly technical software solutions for a variety of uses. We have created the following software within engineering manufacture and would be happy to discuss something similar for your business.

What kinds of specialist software have we built?

How can optimisation software save a manufacturer money?

Several of the projects above share one idea: getting the most out of raw material and machine time. When bars or sheets are cut by hand or by habit, the offcuts pile up and new stock is bought to replace material that was effectively wasted. Optimisation software works through thousands of possible cutting patterns in seconds and picks the combination that leaves the least waste. CNC tool path optimisation applies the same thinking to the machine itself, reducing the time a cutting head spends travelling between cuts rather than cutting. Small percentages saved on every job add up quickly over a year of production.

Why does industry experience matter in technical software?

Writing the code is only half the job. The other half is understanding the problem well enough to know which rules matter, which shortcuts are safe and where a mistake could be costly. Script Monkey is run by a former construction CEO who began his career writing commissioning software for petrochemical plants, so we understand contracts, site realities, engineering tolerances and production pressure. That means less time explaining your business to us and more time solving the problem.

Can you work with our existing equipment and data?

Usually, yes. Specialist software rarely lives on its own. It needs to read from dataloggers, sensors and machines, pull figures from accounts or CAD packages, and pass results on to the people who need them. From thermocouples on a kiln to POS terminals in a hotel, we have connected software to a wide range of hardware and existing systems, and we are used to working with whatever data format your equipment produces.

What if my idea has never been done before?

Most of the software listed here did not exist until a client described a problem nobody had solved. If you can explain what you want to achieve, we can usually find a way to code it, whether that means talking to a datalogger, driving a motor or automating Solidworks to produce drawings straight from a model. For more everyday challenges, take a look at our process automation service.

No matter how outlandish you think your idea or specification might be, we have probably coded something stranger and we love a challenge! Tell us about it.
